About Valplast Partials
Patient Information
Valplast Flexible Partials are fabricated without the use of a metal frame - made instead from a strong, durable plastic that snaps securely and comfortably into place around your existing teeth. The plastic used is so strong that the partial made from it can be very thin, eliminating that heavy, bulky feeling that make wearing partials so unpleasant in the old days.
Flexible Partials blend in well with the natural appearance of your gums, making the partial virtually invisible. The plastic has almost a chameleon effect, it is so strong that the partial can be made very thin an so picks up the characteristics of the underlying tissue. The Valplast clasp blends with the surrounding tissue and virtually disappears. Valplast partials are smooth and comfortable against the tongue.
Life-Time Guarantee
Every Valplast partial is guaranteed against breakage and fracture of the base material assuming normal use. The guarantee is valid indefinitely from the date the appliance is placed in service as a clinical dental prosthesis. The Valplast guarantee applies to material defect of the resin and supplements any guarantee placed by the laboratory for workmanship. Improper fabrications or post-insertion modification of the partial voids the guarantee. The Valplast guarantee does not apply to the bond between the Valplast base resin and artificial teeth.
This or This?
You may also be interested to know that the plastic used in Valplast was first developed over five decades ago, and has been used in professional dentistry since 1954. Valplast is in the nylon family, stronger and more flexible than the acrylic used in other kinds of dentures and partials. Additionally, dentists have recommended Valplast as a viable alternative for full denture patients who have allergic reactions to acrylic.
Expense
If cost is your primary consideration, removable restorations are the more affordable solution, and the results can look totally natural. Ask your dentist about affordable non-metallic flexible partials that blen in with your natural tissues and become invisible in the mouth.
